Remedial Massage is ideal for someone after a more targeted approach to treatment. Unlike Relaxation Massage which treats the whole body to engage the parasympathetic nervous system, Remedial is used to target specific areas of tension or address a particular presentation. In addition to the soft and deep tissue manipulations you may be familiar with from Relaxation Massage, you can expect your therapist to apply any combination of the following advanced techniques:-

• Myofascial Release

• Trigger Point Therapy

• Cupping

• Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) Stretching

• Passive Joint Mobilisations

 

As well as releasing off areas of tension in the body, some clients engage Remedial Massage to aid the affects of the following chronic health conditions:-

• Asthma

• Fibromyalgia

• Depression/Anxiety

• Plantar Fasciitis

• Flat Feet

• Sciatica

• Headaches

 

 

Private Health rebates are available for all Remedial Massage appointments and your therapist will be required to conduct a musculoskeletal assessment before commencing treatment in order for your claim to be valid. As testing normally takes at least ten minutes, we recommend clients only book a short appointment if your therapist requests that your return for a follow up. We suggest booking either a 60 or 75 minute appointment for your initial consultation to allow for adequate testing and treatment time.
